Porcelain
My work moves at the intersection of craft and art.
Turning clay into a form is always an interplay between movement and stillness.
In the 1980s I started making functional earthenware and then stoneware. In recent years I have fallen under the spell of porcelain clay and the special properties and possibilities this material offers.
This results in refined and minimalist forms and objects. I am looking for the limits of transparency and fragility.
The works below date from the period 2010–2017.
